 AD725
I've seen someone mention an AD725 in another topic and it's mentioned on one of the info pages as well. I have an AD725 and I want to experiment with it. Has anyone managed to get AVGA working with an AD725? The main problem I can see is the required 4FSC input, which must be at a fixed frequency for this chip to work (14.318180 MHz for NTSC or 17.734475 MHz for PAL). The AVGA library provices a HSYNC signal, but not a usable clock signal. Generating this signal would also require the MCU to run at a multiple of exactly that speed (I think?). Does anyone have any insight here they can share?

 Re: AD725
Hi,
The maximum signal frequency that can be generated by MCU is 1/2 the clock frequency. So for PAL, MCU would have to run at about 36MHz - not good idea... I'd reccomend using separate crystal oscilator, made from discrete components or few nand gates.
